VID. SUDHA RAGHUNATHAN

Sudha Ragunathan is one of India’s foremost Carnatic vocalists. A disciple of the legendary Dr. ML Vasanthakumari, Sudha has evolved a style of her own where the soul of her music lies in the dynamism of her presentation, with exceptional motifs and matrices of raga images and swaras making it a quintessential amalgamation.

Sudha led the largest Carnatic band with 700 singers, musicians and instrumentalists to acquire a place in the Guinness Book of World Records on 2 February, 2020. She has been awarded Padma Bhushan in 2015, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2022. The Music Academy awarded Sudha the ‘Sangitha Kalanidhi' title in recognition of her achievements.
