KALAMAMDALAM MPS NAMBOODIRI

Kalamandalam MPS Namboodiri is a Kathakali exponent and academic from Kerala. Namboodiri studied Kathakali at Kerala Kalamandalam and became a teacher there and retired as a principal. He was reappointed as the dean of the Department of Kathakali when Kalamandalam was upgraded as a Deemed University. He is also a visiting professor at University of California (UCLA) and the University of Wisconsin in the United States.

He has received several awards including the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award 2013 and Kerala Kalamandalam Mukundaraja Smruthi Award 2019.
